This AI Will END Corruption in Dominican Republic

That’s a big claim. But it could be true!

A new open-source AI platform just launched in the Dominican Republic. It’s called María, and it was built to do one thing:

👉 Find corruption in public contracts before the money moves.

No press conference spin. No retroactive audits. Just code, data, and a real-time dashboard that alerts the public when something smells off.

And even though the Dominican government hasn’t adopted it (yet), this thing could still shake up how business is done here.

Let me break it down.

What is María?

María is a machine learning platform that:

  • Audits government contracts as they’re issued

  • Flags signs of collusion, overpricing, or irregular bidding

  • Publishes alerts openly to the public!!

  • Gives media, NGOs, and regular citizens access to everything

María is live, automated, and built to expose corruption before it happens. And it’s COMPLETELY OPEN SOURCE so the media and public can see the same things the government can!

Who Built It?

Here’s where it gets interesting.

María was built by a private tech team called DOGE — and no, it’s not related to Elon Musk or Dogecoin.

This DOGE is a small, independent group of developers in DR, led by businessman and activist Jochy Gómez, who’s had a ‘complicated’ history with government contracts. Just google him.

But the biggie? Roger Stone — long term political strategist, convicted felon, and notoriously anti-establishment— who flew in to give a speech at the launch event. He called it a “weapon against the establishment.”

So - you have a former suspect (Gómez), a notorious U.S. political icon (Stone), and a piece of Dominican-built AI all wrapped into one. But don’t let the names and associations distract you — the tech is the REAL story.

Why This Could Work

  • It’s open source — no hiding what the AI sees

  • It doesn’t rely on the government to function

  • It puts pressure on every player in the procurement chain

  • It’s built to be adopted by civil society first, not politics

It’s like a public whistleblower that never sleeps.

The key to a $1.3T opportunity

A new trend in real estate is making the most expensive properties obtainable. It’s called co-ownership, and it’s revolutionizing the $1.3T vacation home market.

The company leading the trend? Pacaso. Created by the founder of Zillow, Pacaso turns underutilized luxury properties into fully-managed assets and makes them accessible to the broadest possible market.

The result? More than $1b in transactions, 2,000+ happy homeowners, and over $110m in gross profits for Pacaso.

With rapid international growth and 41% gross profit growth last year, Pacaso is ready for what’s next. They even recently reserved the Nasdaq ticker PCSO.

But the real opportunity is now, before public markets. Until 5/29, you can join leading investors like SoftBank and Maveron for just $2.80/share.

This is a paid advertisement for Pacaso’s Regulation A offering. Please read the offering circular at invest.pacaso.com. Reserving a ticker symbol is not a guarantee that the company will go public. Listing on the NASDAQ is subject to approvals. Under Regulation A+, a company has the ability to change its share price by up to 20%, without requalifying the offering with the SEC.

Why It Might Not

  • The government hasn’t endorsed it (yet).

  • There’s no guarantee agencies will act on what it finds.

  • Gomez and Stone’s names could face Musk like resistance for privacy violations

  • Politicians might try to shut it down if it works too well.

So far, it’s a citizen-led initiative with no formal authority — but with enough visibility, that could change.

What It Means for Investors

Let’s answer the real question:
“Cool tech Jamie ... but what do I do with this?”

If you’re thinking about real estate, development, or long-term investment in the DR, here’s what María signals:

- The country is maturing institutionally.

Serious efforts at transparency attract serious capital.

- Real estate is built on trust.

Corruption risk = higher perceived risk = lower valuations.
María lowers that risk premium.

- Developers will be held accountable.

If a project is backed by shady contracts, or deeds and permits aren’t in line, it may now get flagged. Look for builders and brokers that lean into transparency — those are your allies.

Global capital watches signals like this.

If María works, we may see more mortgage lending, foreign capital, and higher valuations across the board.

Final Thought

Whether this thing actually ends corruption or just exposes it — it’s a step toward a more accountable DR. And that’s good news if you're living here, investing here, or building something here.

Keep your ears open. This could get interesting.

A $9 Cheat Code for Deeper DR Insights

There is power in being around like-minded people that not only inform you, but push you to be better and take action.

I invest HEAVILY in my community - be it entrepreneur groups, networking with other YouTubers or finding the best neighborhood for my family.

My inbox gets flooded with questions like:

  • What do you think of this development or area for investment?

  • How did you make the move to DR?

  • Where do you think the next Punta Cana will be?

  • Can you recommend a great place for us to stay?

I try to answer all, but I’m only one guy - and more importantly, some other people know WAY more than I do.

Recently, I started up the DR Inner Circle which was designed to not only build a community of like-minded people that want to or are investing in DR, not only for people living here already or planning to move here and not only to provide a space for real discussion.

But also to:

  • answer questions I can’t on YouTube for fear of defamation.

  • provide bonus content and information exclusively shared in the community

  • do live Q&A every week with me

  • bring in experts and expats to answer questions monthly

  • give perks like restaurant discounts and more

And the investment?

$9/month - cancel anytime.

I’m going to bet that a community of like minded people passionate about DR is worth more than 1-2 lattes/month from Starbucks, or the unplanned snack grab when getting gas.

Plus community is MUCH better for you.

As my content grows, my desire to serve more grows, this gives me a space to share more openly with the community, a space for members to grow their network and learn within a private group, and also a way to support the content I put out if you get value from it (it ain’t cheap hiring all these videographers haha).

Hope to see you part of the Inner Circle!

Just click here to subscribe and check email in the next 10-15 minutes (maybe spam or promotions) and get access to our private Facebook group and come along for an amazing ride!!
